Anne Brown welcomes you to Gadebrook Arabian
Stud. We raise pure-bred (mainly Crabbet) performance Arabian
horses for racing and endurance based mainly on pure Crabbet
Arabian lines from Australia.
We have been home over the years to top Arabian stallions:
Racing superstar Sambist, World
Endurance Champion Hachim (left),
and Performance Horse Awards overall champion, Binley
Prince Salim. We represent the US winner of the first
WAHO trophy and multi-talented Remington
Steele*++.
Gadebrook Arabian
Stud is located near Peterborough in Northamptonshire, 75
miles north of London, England.

Palma Benay,
the original Boomerang mare imported from Australia in 2007,
has given Gadebrook many excellent foals.
The Boomerang Plan -Three new Australian
mares, Kendra Park Zaraelia (pedigree),
Pevensey Zaraya (pedigree)
and Wollemi Park Amerah al'Sara (pedigree)
on arrival at Gadebrook in 2025 - imported in foal to pure Crabbet
performance stallions for partners Anne Brown, John Illingworth
and Deborah Duncan.

Gadebrook owner Anne Brown has been given
the Arab Horse Society's 'Lifetime Achievement Award', to
be presented at the Annual Arab Show in July by the Hon President
Crispin Mould.
The Boomerang Plan, to re-introduce rare bloodlines to the
Crabbet gene pool, imported three more pure Crabbet brood
mares from Australia in 2025, in foal to top Crabbet performance
stallions.
They flew from Melbourne in August 2025 and settled happily
into Gadebrook. The story of Kendra Park Zaraelia (pedigree),
Pevensey Zaraya (pedigree)
and Wollemi Park Amerah al'Sara (pedigree)
has been covered by a number of magazines.
However, an unexpected (human) medical emergency required
the temporary placement of these three precious mares with
the Plaister Charity at their new premises in Devon.
Fortunately, we have been rewarded with three fine pure
Crabbet foals - two colts and a filly - plus another filly
from earlier imports from Australia, a strong addition to
treasured lines.
Bright Magic, new born, May 2026
with dam Bright Moonlight
Pure Crabbet filly Bright Magic (pedigree)
was born on 14 May 2026, the first foal by British
Novice Ridden Champion Binley Silvern Mujiza and
the first from home-bred mare Bright
Moonlight at Gadebrook.
This filly carries more than 50% Australian
Crabbet lines as her sire is by Binley Ronaldo,
bred in Australia. Her dam Bright Moonlight is by
the impressive Hadiya, the son of Gadebrooks
imported Australian mare Pevensey
Zariffia. Bright Moonlight is out of the imported
Australian bay mare Inshallah
Signature (now retired at 29) a unique
pedigree, bred for performance.
Bright Magic is part of the Boomerang
Plan to bring lost Crabbet genes back to Britain
and restore treasured qualities of stamina, intelligence,
correct conformation and movement combined
with a willing and friendly temperament.
Gadebrook Ameer, colt born Feb
2026, at the Plaister Charity in Devon who kindly
cared for the colts in Gadebook's medical emergency
Kendra Park Zaraelia had a lively chestnut colt Gadebrook
Zarar
(pedigree) (right) by bay Fenwick Just Brilliant,
in January, but being maiden and foaling two weeks
early, had no milk so rejected him. Twemlows provided
foster dam Clover who is doing him well.
Typey maiden mare Wollemi Park Amerah al'Sara had
a pretty chestnut/grey colt Gadebrook Ameer (pedigree)
(left) to prolific bay endurance sire Inshallah Maximus,
in February - also two weeks early - and adores him.
Gadebrook Zarar, new born colt,
Jan 2026, the first of the Boomerang Plan's pure Crabbet
foals imported in utero from Australia
Pevensey Zaraya, the daughter born in
Australia of Pevensey Zariffia (imported to Gadebrook
in 2012) had an exquisite bay filly Gadebrook
Saroya (pedigree)
by bay Danjera
Saroyan (by Palma's sire Pevensey Safari) in April,
17 days late but well worth waiting for!
The bay gene, now rare in Crabbets,
should now be secure.

class and a trophy - what a debut! Starts 2026 Endurance
season at Open level. Hazar's

British Dressage and ridden showing
Kamelliya,
Hazar's 2020 half-sister is racking up the points
in British Dressage with Harriet Podd, and has already
won Ridden Show classes. Leyah's dam is the pure Egyptian
Kamillah, winner of the World Arab Horse trophy for
Britain in 2013.

The third half-sister, pure Crabbet Bright
Moonlight (2020) (pedigree)
by Hadiya x Inshallah Signature (imp Australia) so
¾ Australian bloodlines, has returned to Gadebrook
from backing and ridden training in Italy. To preserve
her unique genes, she was covered by pure Crabbet
half-Australian stallion Binley Silvern Mujiza - 'Skippy'
- (2020), National Crabbet Champion at two, and British
Novice Ridden champion at four.
She foaled lively filly Bright Magic on 14 May 2026.

After years of winning
the 'Arab Racing Sire of the Year' Award (13 times in 15 years!),
Gadebrook's AHS Premium stallion Sambist has now added a Top
Ten placing in the 'Endurance Sire of the Year' awards to
his resumé, for his progeny's Endurance results in
2023, 2024 and 2025.
Mandarine
Sambist's daughter Mandarine
(2010), (left), won the two-day 80k class and the
Best Condition award at the 2023 Golden Horse Shoe,
achieving Gold speed - a great result for her rider
Kathy Carr.
Congratulations to Gadebrook-bred Sameera (right)
who came 5th in the 120km FEI** race at Royal Windsor
on 15 May 2026 with owner/rider Antonia Milner.

Gadebrook
Blade (Mill
Park Blaidd x Palma Benay
2018) from all-Australian pure Crabbet genes, successfully
completed all four Endurance outings at Foundation
level and starts his Novice Endurance season this
year with Susan Hawes of Nightingale Farm Endurance
Horses.
He is now competing at Open level with teenager Sophie
Wynne.

Dandini, Sweden, May 2026
Another pure Crabbet son of Palma,
Dandini, bred at Gadebrook
in 2014 by Marbon Masadi, sired Seren Auros the
leading best 3-year old at the 2023 national Futurity
Evaluation and won the 'Leading Endurance Futurity
Sire' award as well.
Already the sire of more than 20 foals
in the UK, Spain and Scandanavia, is now tackling
endurance in Sweden.
A grandson of Palma, Shaarif
by Kaalif (Palma's son) out
of another of Gadebrook's imported Australian Crabbet
mares, Inshallah
Signature, has reached FEI* level in Endurance,
owned and ridden by Anja Ward who won last year's
Golden Horse Shoe 3-day 120kms ride with him.

Crystal Magic (by Silvern
Sceptre x Crystal Lazuli 1998), an AHS Premium Merit
stallion, bred at Gadebrook and owned by Spirit Arabians,
is the sire of the 2023 leading Futurity Endurance mare,
Naheema's Spirit SA (2019). In 2017, Crystal Magic's 3-year
old filly, SAR Magical Spirit, gained Elite status, the
only one awarded in the Endurance section of the Futurity
evaluations that year!

Home-bred Kalish
has swapped her high-level endurance career for a new and
active riding home in Leicestershire.
Remynisce
Our Remington Steele son Remynisce, has retired from
FEI*** endurance competition to join a loving family
in the Cotswolds who ride him daily.
Congratulations were due to Kaalif,
winner of Dinsdale Memorial Trophy for Champion Pure Arab
in the prestigious AHS Performance Horse Awards for 2019,
owned and ridden by Anja Ward, and also to her 13-yr old
daughter Victoria (right) on winning the Arab Horse Societys
Farenza Cup on Kaalif for leading Junior Rider.
Kaalif won the pure Crabbet Endurance Championship at the
Crabbet Organisation Performance Awards 2019 and also the
FEI Endurance section.
However, tragedy struck in autumn 2020 when Kaalif broke
his leg in his field and had to be put down such
a loss of an exceptional horse.
Kaalif was pure Crabbet by endurance sire Silver Zaanif
out of my imported Australian mare Palma Benay. Kaalif was
the sire of Shaarif (2015) from my imported Australian mare
Inshallah Signature.

Gadebrook's racing supremo Sambist (deceased 2014) won
the AHS 'Arabian Racing Sire of the Year' award in 2018
for an unprecedented 13th time in 15 years.
Sambist appears on the cover of the AHS Centenary Premium
Performance Scheme commemorative book of stallions, and
his genome sequence features in the Centenary exhibition
and on the back cover of the Centenary book. He was the
first Arabian in the world to have his genes identified.
A limited amount of frozen semen is available to approved
mares.

involved in raising funds and organising the 2018 events,
including the Performance Horse Parade at the National Heritage
Centre in Newmarket, the special exhibition "From the
Desert to the World" from March to July, also at the
National Heritage Centre in Newmarket, and the successful
Centenary Marathon in Newmarket in October 2018. Photo right:
