August 2009 - he came 1st!

Gadebrook Stud was delighted to acquire the outstanding colt Binley Prince Salim as a foal from Caroline Sussex. He is by Binley's illustrious Prince Sadik (now deceased) out of the classic Silvern Image, so of the highest quality Crabbet bloodlines. He is SCID clear.

After early backing with Ben Martin who took Salim's full brother Ikoni to Ridden National Championships, and dressage training with Emma Thomas (left) who gained 1st place with a score of 65.7% with him his very first affiliated BD test as a 4-year old (click HERE for video clip). Salim is powering through affiliated EGB endurance rides with Grade 1s and has qualified for Advanced level in 2012 with national team rider Susan Hawes (below).

He was selected to represent England at the Home International in Wales in October 2011.

He will continue to combine affiliated British Dressage with his endurance career.

Salim and Susan should go far, combining her skill and experience with his energy and athleticism. We wish them every success.

Salim gained a Grade 1 in his first-ever 40-mile Open Endurance Ride in Windsor Great Park in July in 4 hours 43 minutes with an excellent pulse rate of 45prm at the end. Well done to trainer and rider Susan Hawes.

Salim's stud career has got off to a good start. His first pure Crabbet foal from PHA Silver Heart was born at the end of April 2009. She is called Silver Sunbeam and is extremely pretty, long legged and very friendly (right).

In November 2009, Salim took his first affiliated BD Novice test (left) ridden by Emma Thomas and came 3rd against all breeds with a score of 65%+ earning him five British Dressage points.

Binley Prince Salim has impressed overseas visitors with his style, movement and beauty and captured the hearts of the camera crew who filmed him for the new channel "All 4 Horses" launched at the Horse of the Year Show.
